AWL FUREVER HOME FESTIVAL ADOPTION DAY

Sunday June 1st 2025 marked the first ever Animal Welfare League NSW Furever Home Festival Adoption Day!

A celebration of all things pets from treats to wares to training to healthcare to fashion to grooming and of course, adoption!

The sun was shining, tails were wagging, and there were smiles everywhere you looked. Tours of the shelter and The Dog House were informative and fun - a look behind the scenes and a chance for the public to meet some of their favourite faces from the show.

While event photography is not typically my thing I couldn't pass up the opportunity to help the team celebrate and the work that they do to advocate for animals and their humans every day. Photographing these animals and interacting with this amazing team is one of the highlights of my week and such a rewarding experience. I wish more people could experience the joy of volunteering and doing their bit to help animals in need.

The adoption day was a resounding success with 43 Animals adopted and even more into foster-to-adopt placements.

One lucky winner even won a raffle prize of a Pet Pawtrait session with me and wall art credit. I can't wait to meet the lucky winner!
